Buying a holiday home

Finding the right location:

If you're thinking about buying your own holiday accommodation, chances are that you already have a good idea about where you want to buy.... and why.

Perhaps you have children (or grandchildren) and want a holiday home in Orlando, Florida where you can be close to Disney World; or, perhaps you've always dreamed about your own tropical hideaway in the Caribbean?

Choosing the right location is even more important if you plan on renting your holiday accommodation.

For example -
When buying a holiday property for rent in Florida it is important that it has good access to the popular attractions, golf courses, and airports. Orlando, Kissimmee and Davenport are all popular areas for this reason. This may sound like common sense but if you don't like theme parks, and can't play golf, then this may not appeal.

This doesn't mean that Florida isn't for you. After all, Florida covers a very large area and has much more to offer than just theme parks and golf courses.

The point is that a large majority of holiday makers want and look for accommodation that provides them with this option. If you opt for a holiday home further away from the main tourist areas you need to consider how easy it will be to rent your holiday home or how you can make your holiday home appeal to an alternate clientele.
