Western Central Algarve
Vale da Pinta - built round an ancient olive grove this 18 hole course is newly built and well presented.
Vale de Milho - try your hand at some more challenging water hazards on this 9 hole par 27 course.
Carvoeiro, Pestana Golf - base for the David Leadbetter Golf Academy. The Pestana boasts two 18 hole courses.
Alvor, Alto Golf - with far reaching views over the Sierra de Monchique mountains, this cliff top course has wonderful sea views and was designed by Sir Henry Cotton. The challenging course is famous for its 16th hole which is one of the longest in Europe.
Eastern Central Algarve
Quinta do Lago - also designed by Sir Henry Cotton. These two 18 hole par 72 courses feature lakes and bunkers making a challenging game. A regular location of the Portuguese Open.
Pinheiros Altos - A 18 hole par 72 pine wooded course that backs on to the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve.
Vilamoura - The Vilamoura estate has three courses to cater from beginners to seasoned professionals. In a lakeside setting the courses are beautifully kept and very picturesque.
